Position Description: 

The Application Developer Analyst will design, develop, unit test, and support user acceptance testing for software development projects and technical initiatives. Development responsibilities will be full-stack. That being stated, we are seeking someone whose primary experience has been Object Oriented Programming (e.g. C#) and PL/SQL and will aggressively learn new technologies (as needed) to support the scrum team’s success.

Responsibilities:
• Under minimal supervision, estimate, design, code or configure, test, debug, deploy, document and maintain applications and platforms while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards
• Interpret business requirements, translating that information into detailed technical specifications
• Validate that the proposed applications align with the architectural design and with the business needs
• Participate in process leadership for work groups, and product/service delivery strategy and work plans
• Troubleshoot application problems, identify interdependencies, and implement new solutions
• Maintain database integrity and security using quality control mechanisms and system tools
• Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities, but requires instruction and guidance in others

Other Functions:
• Develop in a full stack application development environment integrating using object oriented languages (e.g. .NET or Java)
• Develop using SQL programming / designing relational databases, stored procedures, database functions, design tables, select statements, views, etc.(e.g. Oracle 12g / SQL Server 2008R2)
• Willingness to learn and work on other technologies (e.g. angular for web development)
• Willingness to flex into other activities (Quality Assurance testing, etc.) as necessary to support the team’s delivery/success

Skills Required

• Self-starter that is driven with excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve systems problems
• Effective and self-sufficient in working within a diverse technology portfolio
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interpret technical requirements

Experience Required

• 4 years of full stack software development experience using object oriented, web services, and ETL to support back end integration including EDI
• Experience working with Facets and health plan data
